Timely Submission of Accurate Records on Purchase, Sale and Transfer of Radioactive Substances

Persons who hold Radioactive Substance Licences to, among others, use or sell radioactive substances ("RS") are subject to the licence requirement that a record of all purchase, sale and / or transfer of RS shall be maintained. The record shall contain the details regarding the source of supply, the radioactive substances involved, the radioactivity, and dates of transaction, etc. Such record shall be submitted to the Radiation Board according to the time interval required by their licence conditions.

The Board has noticed that some licensees had not submitted the records in timely and accurate manner. If you are licensed to the purchase, sale and / or transfer of RS, you are strongly reminded to maintain the records up-to-date and submit them to the Board on time. Please be reminded that it is also the responsibility of licensees to ensure the accuracy of the submitted reports.
