Radiation Board Medical Panel
Functions
The Radiation Board Medical Panel (RBMP) is a standing Committee appointed by the Board to certify the fitness of workers for first employment or continued employment to work in the proximity of irradiating apparatus or to handle or transport unsealed radioactive substance; and to examine any worker who is suspected to have been over-exposed to radiation. A health surveillance programme is run by the Department of Health for workers who are exposed to ionizing radiation in their work under the policy guidance of RBMP. The terms of reference and composition of RBMP are as follows :
